Cihan Kuzu is a physicist and has been working as (principal chief) researcher for more than 25 years at TÜBİTAK UME (National Metrology Institute of Türkiye) in the fields of force and mostly hardness. His main interest is instrumentation in hardness field besides the other missions undertaken in hardness metrology. He recently has completed and put into use the most advanced generation of hardness standardizing machines and systems at TÜBİTAK UME Hardness Laboratory.

Mr. Kuzu is the representative of TÜBİTAK UME in all organizations related to hardness metrology in the world, Chair of GULFMET Working Group on Research and Development, Chair of Mirror Comittee in and representative of Türkiye in ISO TC 164 SC3 Hardness Testing, member of CIPM CCM WGH, EURAMET WGH and IMEKO TC5. He is also currently the coordinator of RPT Project within EPM of EURAMET (22RPT01 TracIndBVK-H) and of an RD Project supported by GSO / GULFMET in hardness field.
